Economic Development
Economic development is a crucial part of Gloucester Township's future
and will require special attention. We need good, common sense
ideas and renewed efforts to ensure that Gloucester Township is as economically
healthy as possible. If elected, we will:
- Review ordinances to determine which ones are obsolete.
- Pass ordinances that will aid in the recovery of abandoned stores.
- Use the township website to list available commercial properties.
- Streamline the approval process. This includes creating
a program that will track permit applications; using the township
website to track progress of applications for permits; and establishing
an interview committee that would help businesses during the permit
process.
- Hold Saturday office hours in businesses throughout town.
- Recognize "Business of the Month" on the township website and
at council meetings.
