Blackwood- Monday, Council President Glen Bianchini announced he was calling for a special sub-committee meeting of township council to convene today, August 13th at 4pm.The purpose of this sub-committee is to explore matters and determine facts regarding the Mayor’s knowledge of a proposed military training facility in Gloucester Township on Cross Keys Road.A recent e-mail was exposed by a public records request, reveals that the Mayor was aware of the military’s plan months before she attests she was notified.
"The mayor is on record at meetings of council insisting that her knowledge of the military’s plans for the facility in Gloucester Twp. was confined to the notification of the request for sewer access, on June 26th, to date.In light of this new document, dated December 4, 2008, council must convene to look into the details and discover the truth in this crucial matter" said Councilman Dan Hutchison. The meeting of council will occur at 4pm at the Gloucester Township municipal building, and as always will be open to the public.
